Little Cycling Animation
I love to cycle—it’s how I get around—so I’ve been working on a little animation to capture that feeling. It’s a simple looping piece featuring a character cycling, brought to life with a soft pastel colour palette and a deliberately low frame rate. I wanted to create something that feels a bit fun and nostalgic, like an 70s cartoon with modern colour choices.
I rigged the model using Duik, which has given me plenty of room to experiment with movement. The low frame rate adds to the charm, making it feel slightly handmade, like classic stop-motion or traditional animation. I’m keen to gauge some reactions—what do you think? Does it capture the rhythm and motion of cycling?
